Job offer Description

For the Public Works Department Regular full-time position (non-unionized)

Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for administrative and financial support for the Public Works Department. Primary financial functions will include auditing, coding invoices, invoicing and following up with clients as well as maintaining the inventory of various items in the department. This person will also provide administrative support to the Public Works Department and act as a resource person for the finances of this department as well as for clients.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college diploma in Business Administration;
  • Relevant experience of at least three years in a similar position, including municipal accounting would be an asset;
  • Ability to communicate easily in French and English (verbally and in writing);
  • Experience with financial computer software, knowledge of electronic files software (Excel), word processing (Word) and electronic mail (Outlook);
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage / prioritize several tasks simultaneously in a work environment where workload is sustained with certain immutable deadlines so that supplier invoices are properly recorded in the Corporation’s financial software and that payment deadlines are respected;
  • Ability to work in a group and under pressure;
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability for problem solving and decision making;

Hourly rate: $30.06 to $33.81 Schedule: 35 hours per week Workplace: L’Orignal, Ontario
